PFC Patient Portal Upgrade on May 31, 2017
On the evening of May 31, our patient portal will undergo a major upgrade. The patient portal will be unavailable from 6:00 PM (PST) on May 31st until 6:00 AM (PST) on June 1st.
The primary purpose of the upgrade is to improve the security, organization and appearance of the patient portal. Most of the basic functionality will remain the same. However, there are a handful of changes we wanted to ensure you were aware of in advance of the 31st.
Security settings
- When you log in to the portal for the first time post-upgrade you will be asked to (1) set a new password and (2) designate some security questions which can be used in the future to reset your password.
Update notifications
- Depending on the way your account is set up, you may also be asked to designate a mobile number to receive text and/or voice notifications when an update is made to your portal. PFC has not yet implemented this feature, but we are planning to roll this out in the near future. Please specify a number if you would like notifications when this feature goes live.
Portal navigation
The primary change in the new patient portal is that the consents, letters, patient instructions and lab orders have all been collected into the "Documents" section.
There are new "My IVF" applets at the bottom of the home page which offer selected articles and promotions such as Starbucks gift cards for participating in online surveys concerning your IVF experience.
These applets are provided by our patient portal vendor (eIVF) and are not endorsed or supported by Pacific Fertility Center. If you do participate, please be aware that you will be leaving the secure patient portal to a web space that may be public or semi-public. Do not share your private health information in this area.
Thank you for your patience as we make this transition. If you encounter any issues, please let us know so we can assist: [email protected].
