Congratulations to PFC's Dr. Philip Chenette who was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award in Medical Student Teaching at UCSF again this year!

The award for Dr. Chenette will be announced and celebrated at UCSF’s Annual VCF Banquet on Thursday, April 12, 2017, at the UCSF Mission Bay Campus.

Pacific Fertility Center is passionate about giving back to the community. Part of that is the educational resources of our universities, and we are pleased to support those educational institutions.

At PFC, we look forward to continuing to encourage and grow the new generation of doctors.

PFC's Dr. Eldon Schriock spoke at the University of San Francisco Law School this week. He presented to law students in a family law class with Professor Maya Manian.

During the presentation, Dr. Schriock gave an update on current Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) technology, focusing on CCS, egg and embryo freezing, reduction of multiple pregnancy, fertility preservation and using ART for family planning. 

He also spoke about the potential legal and ethical issues in ART including:

  • Use of ART for non-fertility issues
  • Potential ethical limits of ART technology
  • Risks and benefits of egg and embryo freezing
  • Legal definition of conception and the “Personhood” legislation
  • Eggs versus sperm freezing
  • Genetic carrier screening
  • CRISPR

Congratulations to PFC's Dr. Philip Chenette, who received the UCSF “Outstanding Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award in Medical Student Teaching" again this year!

Pacific Fertility Center is passionate about giving back to the community. Part of that is the educational resources of our universities, and we are pleased to support those educational institutions.

For the past ten years PFC has welcomed a few students from UCSF and Dartmouth to watch and learn from how we diagnose and manage fertility problems.
