Our Egg Donor Agency Team

Our Egg Donor Agency team offers the winning combination of an experienced compassionate support staff dedicated to providing individualized care in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Our Egg Donor Agency ("EDA") Team includes the following staff members:
Egg Donor Recruiter
Donor Coordinator
Recipient Donor Coordinator
Marriage and Family Therapist
Certified Genetic Counselor

Egg Donor Recruiter

The Egg Donor Recruiter is responsible for recruitment and screening of all prospective egg donors. Once a prospective egg donor has submitted her application, the donor recruiter will perform a telephone interview to discuss the process of egg donation, to confirm the accuracy of information provided, and to coordinate medical and psychological screening for the prospective egg donor. Once a prospective egg donor has completed the screening process, the recruiter will work closely with her to prepare her profile for Intended Parent viewing.

Donor Coordinator

The Donor Coordinator works hand in hand with our egg donors from the beginning of an egg donation cycle through its completion. The donor coordinator serves as a main contact for all egg donors currently in the program, schedules pre-cycle screening appointments for all egg donors during the treatment cycle and arranges travel and housing for eggs donors traveling from out of town. The Donor Coordinator is also responsible for disbursement of all out-of-pocket donor expenses and cycle compensation.

Recipient Donor Coordinator

The Recipient Donor Coordinator provides support and guidance for all PFC patients looking to select a donor from the PFC Egg Donor Agency (PFC EDA) and is available to speak to patients by telephone or in person, whichever is preferred by the patient. At that time, the coordinator will discuss our donor recruitment and screening methods, the process of selecting a donor through our agency, and all agency fees associated with selection of a PFC egg donor. Once a donor is chosen for a cycle, the coordinator will provide all necessary documents for selection and will coordinate payment of agency fees to secure the donor.

Marriage and Family Therapist

The Marriage and Family Therapist meets with all patients using a third party (egg donor, known sperm donors or gestational carriers) to assist them in completing their family. As the person who conducts psychological testing and interviewing of all donor candidates, she is uniquely qualified to educate and support families to think through the many questions they may have. Issues such as disclosure, how to choose a donor or gestational carrier, future concerns, plus any topics that the recipients and intended parents would like to discuss are covered in her meeting with families.

Certified Genetic Counselor

The Certified Genetic Counselor speaks with each prospective egg donor to review detailed family history to include at least three generations. This not only provides detailed medical information to the intended parents, but also ensures the donor meets the American Society of Reproductive Medicine's guidelines for minimum screening of gamete donors. After this is complete, the genetic counselor will make recommendations for genetic testing based on the donor's ancestry, ethnicity, and family history in accordance with professional organizations such as the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). The genetic counselor will then create a genetic risk assessment report for the prospective donor which will become part of the donor's online profile and is available for viewing by intended parents.
